Day 2 Week 1

Beginning this project I thought about the what inspired me most and the things that I was obsessed with and narrowed it down to two things; Fashion and Films. I wanted to go beyond any theme within the fashion industry as I believe it would be too obvious, so I am set on making films a big part of my project. Today, I continued looking at references and researching artists as well as photographers. I wanted to build a mood board for the plot of my story, and the style I was going for.

I looked into a few theories from Freud (on fantasy) and Jung (on the unconscious), I always like to read these psychological theories to give me some background and depth to what I aim to explore. Also, It fascinates me how everything is linked and sometimes I can pick up on things within a theory to look at more specifically, which was my intention when looking up these theories but I didn't get much out of them, regardless they were still interesting.

Next

I still haven't found the specific path I want to go to but I will continue to research and think of things I have a personal connection with since that way I will most probably create a more successful outcome. Although I don't want all the research I've already done to go to waste so I am going to look into the realm of this fantasy vs reality theme.

I also have to start thinking of what outcomes I want to create. I will probably create a moving image and a series of photos, but aside from that I would like to go beyond what I have been doing during Part 2 of the foundation and create something digitally, or building an interactive space. Although it is hard to think of outcomes when I still have not pinpointed what I will be investigating.
